It sounds ominous doesn’t it? In the “not so” old days if a professional
was going to troubleshoot a drain or sewer clog there was no other choice than
to put on the hip boots and do a manual inspection. That was nasty business indeed! Not only that, but it lacked in accuracy from
time to time as well.
Today, we use video inspection. With our modern video equipment and
techniques, the interior of the pipe may be inspected. A small diameter collector pipe will
typically have a cleanout access at the far end. If you want a quick chuckle, our video
inspection camera is often referred to as PIG (pipeline inspection gauge).
